One of Northwestern University’s highest priorities in graduate education is teaching and training of a new kind scholar—one who is trained in the complex discourses across disciplines. Scholarship in ethics and civic life is a part of many graduate programs—journalism, public health, law, medicine, and business, religion, and philosophy. Fellowships allow young scholars to teach and direct the senior year of the Program as the students undertake the pragmatic construction of a project that will last beyond their graduation from Northwestern University.
